Meet Shishir Pandey
I’m a Registered Social Worker and Clinical Counsellor who works with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, life transitions, and self-esteem concerns. As a non-white, first-generation immigrant to Canada from the Global South, my lived experience deeply informs how I show up in the therapy space, allowing me to bring empathy, cultural humility, and a nuanced understanding of identity, migration, and systemic barriers into my work with clients.

My approach to therapy is collaborative, client-centred, and grounded in trauma-informed and anti-oppressive practice.
I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental environment where clients feel genuinely heard, respected, and supported. I draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Strength-Based approaches, always tailoring therapy to what feels most meaningful and helpful for each individual.

Alongside my clinical work, my background as a nurse, educator, and community advocate allows me to bring a holistic lens to therapy and a strong appreciation for the mind–body connection. I’m especially passionate about supporting racialized individuals, newcomers, and immigrants, while warmly welcoming clients from all backgrounds and identities.

I believe healing happens through authentic connection, collaboration, and practical tools that support meaningful, lasting change. In my role as a Virtual Psychotherapist through the Physiomed collaboration, I’m honoured to support clients as they work toward greater balance, resilience, and well-being.

If you feel we might be a good fit, I would be honoured to walk alongside you in your therapeutic journey.
